About us

IB – Farmer & Soil Food Web Consultant

I am a qualified farmer with more than 20 years of hands-on experience in both conventional and organic agriculture. Today, I specialise in regenerative farming systems and the Soil Food Web approach, with a focus on building healthy soil biology, growing stronger crops, and developing economically sustainable solutions for modern farming.

I provide agronomic consulting to farmers and growers on biological farming practices, conduct field trials, deliver training courses, and develop practical biological solutions, including compost extract systems and application equipment for seed drills and planters.

From Conventional Farming to Regenerative Agriculture

I am an experienced farmer and have been a self-employed farmer for more than 20 years. My own holding comprised 110 ha of conventionally farmed land as well as 500 sows with piglets.

In 2010 I took the first steps away from conventional farming with spray-free strawberry production, which later led to the conversion of 20 ha to organic farming. At its peak, we grew 9 ha of organic strawberries.

Glyphosate, GMOs and the way forward

From 2011 I carried out a two-year study in the sow herd, testing residual concentrations of glyphosate in feed. The results clearly showed that glyphosate residues and GMO soya had a negative effect on the animals' health and production.

This work led to collaboration with researchers, farmers and consumers from around the world. What united us was the wish to move away from GMO and chemically dependent farming, and instead create healthier food and more living farmland.

Soil Food Web & Biological Farming

Through international networks I became acquainted with regenerative growing systems and the Soil Food Web principles, developed and documented by Elaine Ingham. The focus here is on supporting the soil's biology, so that plants can draw the nutrients they need themselves, precisely when they need them.

Farmer and teacher

Since 2017 I have been a farmer and teacher at Bråskovgård Efterskole, where I run the school's 46 ha organic farm and teach both practical and theoretical farming. I also teach Soil Food Web as an elective subject.

In 2019 I began Soil Food Web School's online course, which I completed after three years. During that period, I carried out extensive field and greenhouse trials with compost, compost extracts and biological systems, often together with pupils and farmers from across Denmark.

Practical Experience, Field Trials & Training

I have experience with most Danish crops: cereals, grass, maize, beet, legumes, large-scale outdoor market gardening, fruit, berry and nut trees, as well as a wide range of greenhouse trials. These trials form the basis for the dosages and methods I recommend today.

I have a strong focus on solutions that are:

  • simple to implement
  • reliable in operation
  • economically viable from the outset

For this reason, I have developed compost extractors and a compost spreader that can be retrofitted to any seed drill.

Consultancy work today

I became a certified Soil Food Web Consultant in 2022 and founded IBP Farming ApS in January 2023.

Since then I have:

  • collaborated with the University of Copenhagen on field studies
  • advised farmers and growers
  • taught the Soil Food Web system
  • sold biologically complete compost
  • carried out complete field trials with analysis and reporting

I am also affiliated with Soil Food Web School as a mentor and course/webinar instructor, both in Denmark and internationally.

The development has only just begun.

IBP Farming Today

Founded in 2023, IBP Farming provides:

  • Consulting in biological and regenerative farming

  • Microscope soil biology analysis

  • Field trials and on-farm documentation

  • Biologically complete compost

  • Compost extract and biological soil solutions

  • Development of practical equipment for biological farming

Our goal is to make biological farming practical, measurable, and profitable for modern agriculture.
