Harvest with Research Combine Harvester

Precise harvesting of trial plots. Electronic weighing and straightforward logistics.

Our research combine harvester from 1972 is well-maintained and purpose-built for precise harvesting of trial plots. It cuts a 1.5-metre wide swath, and the electronic weighing system handles up to 30 kg of grain with an accuracy of 10 grams. Samples can be taken for analysis during harvest, or the weighed grain can go straight into the tank. The harvester is transported on a 3.5-tonne trailer, keeping logistics simple.

Pricing:

  • Vehicle and trailer: DKK 1,500 per day
  • Fuel: DKK 3.50 per km. Over 100 km per day, an additional DKK 4.00 per km applies
  • Research combine harvester: DKK 500
  • Operator: DKK 500 per hour

The vehicle and trailer rate may be reduced if multiple trials are harvested on the same run.

Example: trial located 150 km from Bråskov near Hornsyld (300 km total):

  • Vehicle and trailer: DKK 1,500
  • Fuel: 300 km x DKK 3.50 = DKK 1,050
  • Extra kilometres: 200 km x DKK 4.00 = DKK 800
  • Combine harvester: DKK 500
  • Operator: approx. 6 hours x DKK 500 = DKK 3,000
  • Total example: DKK 6,850

Around 8 plots can typically be harvested in approximately 1.5 hours, including loading the harvester back onto the trailer. A moderately elevated grain moisture content is usually manageable, but harvesting becomes more difficult at significantly above 20% moisture due to the simple belt-feed system on the cutting table.
